Meg & Dia chart 'Real' late summer tour

With a new studio album in the pipeline and a European tour just completed, indie-pop sibling-act Meg & Dia [ tickets ] have a lined up a late-summer slate of US headlining shows.The five-piece group--which is led by Utah-born sisters Meg (vocals) and Dia Frampton (guitar)--will mount the run Aug. 15 in Jacksonville, FL. The 16-date outing will get opening support from alt-rockers Jonezetta and Dropping Daylight, along with Danger Radio on select evenings.Meg & Dia recently finished a European run as part of the Give It a Name Introduces Tour, along with Mayday Parade, Four Year Strong and The Color Fred. The group also participated in the main Give it a Name festival shows in London and Sheffield, UK, with Paramore, All Time Low and others.The group continues to back 2006's "Something Real," which was originally released on indie label Doghouse. After signing with Warner, the band re-released the album last year, along with a 6-song EP, "If You're Poor Find Something to Sue Somebody For," which hit stores last summer.Work continues on a still-untitled follow-up to "Something Real," according to Meg & Dia's website, where the Frampton sisters have been reporting on the recording progress of the album in the site's diary section.
